Medicare
Supplements or MediGap
plans work with your original
Medicare Part A & B. The plans A- L are the same with every carrier. The only
difference between plans from one carrier to the next is the monthly premium and
the quality of the carrier. All benefits are the same. They are regulated and
standardized by the government. These plans have little to no out of pocket cost
for provider for services. These plans generally DO NOT include drug plans. You
must be enrolled in Medicare Part A & B to enroll in these plans. You may
need to qualify medically to enroll depending on your Part B effective date, other
circumstances may apply for medical eligibility.
Medicare
Advantage(MA or MAPD) plans generally have co-pays for services and may
or may not include a part D drug plan. There are three basic types of Medicare
Advantage plans HMO, PPO and PFFS. These are the most affordable plans with many
having a zero monthly premium. You must be enrolled in Medicare Part A & B, must
reside in the plan service area , and DO not have ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease),
to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan. Specific enrollment periods will apply

Alone drug plans ( PDP ) are for RX only. The PDP plans are the result
of The Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003. A
federal law that brought the most dramatic changes to the Medicare program since
it began in 1965. You may enroll in a PDP plan if you have Medicare Part A or
